Ethan's new "do"

Ethan got a haircut today and he did a great job. For those of you who know Ethan's hair saga, he has been an absolute nightmare in the past. I'm not saying he was perfect today, but it was the most pleasant experience to date.

Lanternafest

Ethan's kindergarten celebrated St. Martin's Day with a Lanternafest where we sang songs and paraded in the streets of Langen/Neurott. Ethan loved it and now wants to do it every night!

Oberammergau/Neuschwanstein

We went to Bavaria last weekend and it was beautiful. I finally made it to the fabled Neuschwanstein Castle with Ethan. When we were on a tour in the castle, Ethan kept hearing about the King. While in the King's bedroom the people were quietly looking around the room. I was telling Ethan that this was where the King slept and he very innocently said in his rather loud Page voice, "Where is the King?" Everyone in the room laughed. Ethan has been bugging me to find out where he is ever since!

Halloween 2006

Ethan had lots of fun this Halloween. We went to a Halloween party given by a friend in the neighborhood where we all went Trick or Treating together. Ethan showed those German kids how it was done. He was the first one to march up to the first door and when they opened, he shoved out his bag and said, "I want candy!" That's my boy!
